The Asian Flower Maidens painted in the round are named for a variety of flowers and represent the aesthetic symbolism of 18th & 19th century Japanese culture. The remaining paintings were inspired by Marty’s travels and appreciation of Asian art and its vast culture. These include design elements from Japanese, Chinese and Southeast Asian art.
